INSPIRE Hackathon is designed to encourage creativity, experimentation, collaboration, and responsible innovation. Participants are expected to compete fairly and maintain professional conduct throughout the challenge.

1. Eligibility

The hackathon is open to eligible participants who complete the required registration process. Participants may compete individually or as part of a team, subject to the participation limits specified by the organizers.

2. Originality

Projects should represent the participant's own work and ideas. Participants must not submit copied projects, plagiarized work, fraudulent information, or projects falsely represented as their own.

Previously existing work may be used only where permitted by the challenge guidelines. Participants should clearly identify any significant pre-existing components.

3. Third-Party Resources

Participants may use publicly available libraries, frameworks, APIs, datasets, templates, AI tools, research materials, design resources, and other third-party resources where permitted. Appropriate attribution should be provided whenever required.

4. Multiple Disciplines

Projects may belong to one or more challenge categories. Participants are encouraged to combine different disciplines where doing so improves the solution.

5. Submission

All projects must be submitted through the official Devpost submission system before the stated deadline. Late submissions may not be considered unless the organizers officially extend the deadline.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that their submission is complete and accessible to the judging team.

6. Judging

Projects may be evaluated using criteria such as:

  • Originality and innovation
  • Understanding of the problem
  • Quality of the proposed solution
  • Execution and implementation
  • Creativity and design
  • Feasibility
  • Potential impact
  • Quality of presentation

Judging criteria may be adapted depending on the project category.

7. Professional Conduct

Participants must interact respectfully with other participants, organizers, judges, mentors, and community members.

Harassment, discrimination, cheating, manipulation of judging, impersonation, abuse, or other inappropriate conduct may result in removal from the challenge.

8. Verification

The organizers may request additional information to verify project ownership, participant eligibility, or submission authenticity.

9. Intellectual Property

Participants retain ownership of their work unless otherwise stated in a specific agreement. Participants are responsible for ensuring that their projects do not violate third-party intellectual property rights.

10. Final Decisions

The organizers reserve the right to disqualify submissions that violate the rules, contain misleading information, or compromise the integrity of the challenge.

Participation in INSPIRE Hackathon constitutes acceptance of the official challenge rules.

Build with integrity. Compete with purpose. Inspire responsibly.
